I posted these pictures of the wreck that Sam Williams had at Boyds Speedway in 2009 to show how safe these cars are. Sam rolled several times and walked away unharmed Sam raced the next night at Lavonia. This is a tribute to the safety factors of these cars, the actions of the safety crews at Boyds Speedway, and resiliency of youth. Oh,his father didn't do bad getting the car back together for the next night.

I want to take this time to thank the staff and crew at Boyd's Speedway. Their hard work to get the track ready after the hard rain at 5 o'clock was wonderful. They prepared a great track. Thanks to all of the racers that came to Boyd's Speedway for our Friday night show. What a great show they put on for the fans. Tim Garrison
The Young Guns again flexed some muscle with Chris Openshaw on the pole for the feature and Jim Wall 3rd. As the race shook out Jim got to the lead just before midway and stayed there until disaster stuck with one to go. As the caution flew with one to go Jim got off the gas to slow and his car took a hard right into the front straight wall. A true heart breaker for anyone watching. Sam Williams inherited the lead and held off a hard charge from Shane Werner to win his second of the year.
